National Service Scheme (NSS)
NSS
The S.A. College of Arts & Science instituted the National Service Scheme in its campus on August, 2021 under the guidance of Dr. Vanita Agarwal, National Service Scheme - Programme Coordinator of the University of Madras. It was started with the good intention to impart various skills, social care and service motive in the students. 50 students from the first year and 50 students from the second year have been registered in NSS on the basis of various qualifications. Several efforts like one day camp, two day camp and ten day camp are arranged to provide various practical experience along with education which is the basis of National Service Scheme. A cycle rally was organized to emphasise the importance of organ donation. Students actively took part in the rally. It created a lot of awareness among the public and it was highly appreciated by the NSS authorities in the annual NSS meeting at the University of Madras. It is noteworthy that the national service scheme is working as a means of developing multi-disciplinary potential of the students who are ready to develop self-confidence and social concern through various social activities.Mr.M.VijayakumarProgramme officer
