The School of Management , S.A.College of Atrs & Science organised Financial Market Professional Certification Programme on “Fundamentals of Equity Research Analysis,”on 30.09.2024 and 01.10.2024 for MBA students. Mr. Glenn Roger Carr, Founder and Director of Finmark, was the resource person. The main focus of the workshop was on the secondary market. Mr. Glenn educated the students on the operations of the secondary market, role of derivatives and valuation of firm. He also explained how hedging of securities will help in reducing risk. emphasized the importance of these tools in stabilizing earnings and optimizing a firm’s market value. The session not only provided an insight of secondary market but also emphasised the benefit of investment in secondary markets in spite of the risks involved. The session was interactive and thought provoking.
