Anti-Drug

Substance abuse has emerged as a significant health crisis on college campuses nationwide. In response, S.A. College of Arts & Science established an Anti-Drugs Committee on 09.09.2024. Dr.G. Purushothaman has been designated as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC), with faculty members appointed as committee members. The committee's primary mandate is to maintain a drug-free campus by strictly prohibiting the possession, consumption, or use of drugs and alcohol by students, both on and off campus, including hostels.

Drug-Free Campus Initiative

At SACAS, we are committed to fostering a drug-free environment by promoting awareness, prevention, and active participation. Our mission is to strengthen and guide individuals against drug use through educational programs and anti-drug activities. We strive to create a safe and healthy campus by involving students in initiatives that highlight the harmful effects of substance abuse. With a strict prohibition on the sale of drugs and alcohol on college premises, we aim to prevent the initiation of drug use and curb its progression. Our ultimate goal is to inspire students to become lifelong advocates and volunteers in the fight against substance abuse, contributing to a healthier society.
