SASOM Students’ Research Summit 2025 Promotes Research Excellence

The School of Management, S. A. College of Arts & Science, successfully organised the Students’ Research Summit 2025 for MBA students with the objective of providing a structured academic platform to present, discuss, and exchange research ideas and findings. The summit was designed to promote academic excellence, strengthen research orientation, and enhance analytical and critical thinking skills among management students.

The Research Summit was inaugurated by eminent industry leaders Mr. Jayaraam S., Deputy General Manager – Market Development (South & East), Business Standard, Chennai; Mr. Babu Nayagam, Head – Digital Transformation, Muthoot Fincorp Ltd.; and Mr. Rajesh Swaminathan, Global Talent Partner, Diligent Global, USA. Their inaugural addresses highlighted the importance of research-driven decision-making, industry-academia collaboration, and innovation in management education.

The event was further enriched by the presence of distinguished industry experts including Mr. Srinivasan Varadharajan, Business & Investment Consultant and Director, SVS Investments; Mr. G. Uthramoorthy, Operations Manager, Finmark Trainers India Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Anandan, Deputy Chief Manager and Channel Manager, Aditya Birla Life Asset Management Company; Ms. Sudha Varadhan, Vice President, Divyaswaroopa Financial Services Pvt. Ltd.; and Ms. Surbhi Kothari.

A total of 94 MBA students presented their research papers, demonstrating strong subject knowledge and analytical competence. The presentations were evaluated through a comprehensive five-level assessment involving industry experts, external faculty, internal faculty, peers, and parents, ensuring diverse and constructive feedback.

Participants described the summit as highly informative and motivating. Overall, the Students’ Research Summit 2025 emerged as a successful academic initiative that significantly contributed to students’ intellectual growth and holistic academic development.
