SACAS Hosts Special Screening of Upcoming Tamil Film Varanasi

S.A. College of Arts & Science, in collaboration with Birsamunda International Film Awards (BIFA) and the Department of Visual Communication, organized a special two-day screening of the upcoming Tamil film Varanasi on July 3rd and 4th, 2025. Held at the SACAS Preview Theater, the event brought together staff and students from the Visual Communication department and various other academic streams.

Directed by Suresh and edited by Srivatsan, Varanasi is a feel-good drama that captivated the audience with its engaging storytelling and cultural themes. Dr. R. Srinivasan, Head of the Department, welcomed the chief guest, Mr. Yuv Gokul Rangaswamy, film producer and distributor from Generous Entertainments.

The event offered a platform for critical viewing, film appreciation, and interactive discussions, enhancing participants’ understanding of contemporary cinema and strengthening the academic–industry connection.
