*PUDHU VIBE: Celebrating Creativity and Expression at SA College of Arts and Science*
SA College of Arts and Science witnessed an electrifying event on January 6, 2025, through the much-anticipated open mic program, PUDHU VIBE (New Vibe), brought to life today by the creative collaboration of Department of Visual Communication and Tamil Department. The Fueling pot for all the new youthful energies, creativity, really living up to its name of PUDHU VIBE, in association with the FM station, Radio City 91.1, who give a new launch pad for some of its best students to find their voice, singing.
There were about 135 participants, mostly students from the host institution and neighbouring schools and SA Engineering College. This would mean a mixture of participants that brought different perspectives and made the day lively and dynamic.
PUDHU VIBE was an open mic format where participants would do poetry, storytelling, singing, stand-up comedy, and much more. The students take this platform to share every minute thought on social issues to personal experiences; light-hearted to the performances of art.
The creativity and raw talent that the participants brought to the table were not filtered, making it a spectacular event. Many of the performances were emotionally touching for the audience, while others left them laughing in delight. Several students used the stage to bring to light some of the social concerns relevant to their lives, making the event not only entertaining but also thought-provoking.
Radio City 91.1 lent a professional edge to the program. The engagement of the FM station ensured mass reach and helped heighten excitement among participants and attendees.
Both departments’ faculty members were thrilled to see the students’ talent and creativity showcased. They agreed that such programs are essential for developing creative talent and making people feel like part of a group.
PUDHU VIBE left a mark on all of them by the end of the day. This event has been a proof that there is indeed a need for more platforms to hear young voices. The students and organizers alike are already looking forward to the next edition and eager to continue the tradition of celebrating creativity and innovation.
PUDHU VIBE was much more than an event and an experience with the vibrant spirit of SA College of Arts and Science.
