Red Ribbon Club (RRC), in association with the PG Department of Commerce (General), organised a significant awareness 20.08.2025

August 21, 2025

The Red Ribbon Club (RRC), in association with the PG Department of Commerce (General), organised a significant awareness initiative titled “Chain of Support on Anti-Drugs: Join the Movement, Break the Silence” on 20th August 2025 from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. at the SACAS Campus. The event was designed to create awareness on the devastating effects of drug abuse and to emphasize the importance of collective responsibility in preventing substance addiction.

A large number of students and faculty members enthusiastically participated in the Human Chain Formation, symbolizing unity, compassion, and determination to stand against the menace of drugs. The participants joined hands to form a continuous chain across the campus, sending a strong visual message that society must remain united in the fight against drug abuse. The initiative not only reinforced the dangers associated with substance abuse but also encouraged students to adopt a healthy lifestyle and extend support to those who are vulnerable or recovering.

The programme served as a reminder that in the battle against addiction, no one should be left to struggle alone. Awareness, solidarity, and support systems are essential to break the silence surrounding drug abuse and to foster a safe environment for growth and well-being. Through this meaningful event, the RRC and PG Department of Commerce (General) demonstrated their commitment to shaping socially responsible citizens and inspiring the student community to be ambassadors of change in building a drug-free society.
