SACAS Awards 2025 Celebrate Academic Excellence at S.A. College of Arts & Science Chennai, December 14, 2025:

The Department of Visual Communication, S.A. College of Arts & Science (SACAS), successfully organized the SACAS Awards for Academic Excellence 2025 on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., honouring outstanding contributions in the field of education. The prestigious event celebrated academic commitment, teaching excellence, and institutional achievement.

The programme commenced with Tamil Thaai Vazhthu, followed by a vibrant welcome dance and the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge. Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar, Principal, SACAS, delivered the Presidential and Welcome Address, setting the tone for the ceremony. The Inaugural Address was given by Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Correspondent, SACAS, while Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi, Director, SACAS, delivered the Special Address, emphasizing the role of educators in nation-building.

Prof. R. D. Balaji, Course Director and Convener of SACAS Awards, presented the purpose and highlights of the event, and Dr. K. S. Prabhakar, Director, Career Development Cell, elaborated on “Why SACAS?”, highlighting the institution’s academic vision. The Special Guest Address was delivered by Pulavar Ma. Ramalingam, inspiring the audience with his insights on education and values.

A key highlight of the event was the Lifetime Achievement Award Presentation to Dr. Pradeep, V. Philip, and Dr. M. Muthuvel, followed by their felicitation speeches. The ceremony also honoured 37 Best Teachers and 15 Best Schools, recognizing their exemplary service and dedication to academic excellence.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. R. Srinivasan, Head, Department of Visual Communication, and the National Anthem, marking a memorable celebration of excellence in education. The event was coordinated by Dr. S. H. Shiek Mohammed and other faculty members. The event was supported by the non-teaching staff members.
