SACAS SHG MELA – Post Content Report

On December 20, 2024, S.A. College of Arts & Science, in collaboration with the Institution Innovation Council, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, and the Department of Bank Management, hosted the much-anticipated ED MART at the SACAS campus. This vibrant event aimed to inspire budding entrepreneurs, with a special focus on women entrepreneurs from self-help groups (SHGs).

The event was a dynamic celebration of creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, providing an empowering platform for entrepreneurs to connect, showcase their ventures, and learn from each other. It served not only as a marketplace but also as a testament to the college’s commitment to fostering innovation and empowering aspiring entrepreneurs.

Highlights of the Event:

• The college received an overwhelming response, exceeding expectations in terms of participation and engagement.
• A total of 40 stalls were set up by participants, including both self-help groups and non-self-help groups.
• The enthusiastic participation of staff and students added to the event’s success. They actively visited the stalls and supported the entrepreneurs by purchasing products with great enthusiasm.

The success of the SACAS SHG MELA demonstrates the college’s dedication to promoting entrepreneurship and supporting community-driven initiatives.
