Pi Approximation Day 2024 Celebrated at SACAS On July 22, 2024, the Department of Mathematics at S.A. College of Arts & Science, in collaboration with the Mathelets Club, hosted a vibrant celebration of Pi Approximation Day. The event commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Dr. G. Ambika, Head of Mathematics, and a special recognition of the Chief Guest, Dr. A. Meenakshi, Professor at Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science & Technology, Chennai. Dr. Meenakshi highlighted the diverse applications of Pi, providing a platform for students to demonstrate their research and creative skills in Mathematics & Statistics. The day included a competitive Poster Presentation, drawing participation from 50 teams and fostering a spirit of innovation and collaboration. The event concluded with accolades presented by Correspondent Thiru. P. Venkatesh Raja, supported by Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi and Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to academic excellence.
