Guest Lecture on “Humanising Brands” on 28/07/23 for BBA students
School of Management is organised, Guest Lecture on “Humanising Brands” on 28/07/23 for BBA students and III B.Com(Bank Management) students, Dr.S.Praveen Kumar, Dean- School of Commerce and Management, Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research, Chennai, was the resource person. Around 95 students and 6 faculty members attended the Guest lecture.The programme started with welcome address by Subhashini of II BBA, Dr,Viji.R, Director ,School of Management delivered the special address and felicitated the guest. The Guest, Dr.S.Praveen Kumar, educated the students on the importance of humanising in the present day. He played videos on various advertisements , narrated on how emotional values were sold through the advertisements and how humanising helped in connecting with the customer. Dr.S.Praveen Kumar also insisted on the need for humanising employees.The session was very interactive, during the question answer session, the students cleared their queries. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by D.Ajay of II BBA.
Faculty Knowledge Transformation Forum “Bill of Exchange – Financial Accounting”
On 28.07.2023, the Department of Corporate Secretaryship, S.A. College of Arts & Science organized a Faculty Knowledge Transformation Forum # 3 on the topic “Bill of Exchange – Financial Accounting”. The session was hosted and presented by Mr. M. Prasad, Assistant Professor, Department of Corporate Secretaryship. He has shared the important concepts of Bill of Exchange with real time examples. The session followed by Q & A session by the faculty members and it gives an eye-opener session for the faculty members to learn practical aspects of the said topic.

Every student eagerly awaits right from their time of admission for their most remarkable event of the department “FRESHER’S PARTY”. The Department of Accounting & Finance organised a Freshers day on 28th of July 2023 and it was a memorable day in the life of every fresher of A&F students. The fresher’s day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness.
WEBINAR ON GREEN WASHING Organized by Commerce General
The Department of Commerce (General) of S.A College of arts and science organized a “WEBINAR ON GREEN WASHING” for 1st and 2nd students on 27th July 2023 at SACAS Auditorium.
- She cleared the students about the topic GREEN WASHING with examples.
- She explained the sin and importance of green washing with day-to-day life examples.
- She highlighted the laws amended against green washing
- She has also created the awareness about reputative companies, influencing the consumers by selling their products with fake identity.
- The programme ended with Q & A session.
Mastering Your Thoughts Organized by the Department of Central Library
The Department of Central Library organized a workshop on "Mastering Your Thoughts" at SACAS Theatre on 27th July 2023. The Chief Guest Mr. A T Rajkumar, a Civil Engineer, Entrepreneur and a Writer delivered an interactive session on maintaining a serene mind amidst negativity, emotional disturbances, fear, anxiety, etc. In tandem with it he gave a number of mind techniques to overcome stress and unnecessary thoughts.
The students of 3rd B.Sc Computer Science, 3rd BCA 3rd B.Com. Accounting and Finance and 3rd B.Com General and faculty member were the prime audience (171) and they stayed highly interactive throughout the session. It was similar to a discussion forum focussing on the ideas like purpose, acceptance, planning, success and failure, passion and overthinking. Philosophical themes like, “Acceptance is the greatest solution to all the problems. Live your present, don’t think about future or past” were given due importance.
