SACAS- Teachers day celebration on 05.09.2023

“Great teachers make ordinary students extraordinary.” College of Arts & Science celebrated the Teachers Day on 05-09-2023 in the Preview Theatre at 12:00 p.m. The programme was coordinated by the Rotaract Club of SACAS. Mr. Vignesh and Mr. Arjun the Rotaract Faculty Coordinators organized the event. The Director and the Principal presided over the celebration. Students organised games and cultural performances for the faculty members as tokens of love.

Program started with pookalam competition to showcase their creativity on pookalam without loosing traditional aspects, followed by Thiruvathira ( Traditional dance) and Entry of Mahabali Chakravarthy made the event a colourful one. Program ended by an energetic Flashmob by college students.

Madras Day Celebration with Spectacular Human Formation

On August 22, 2023, S. A. College of Arts & Science took the 348th Madras Day celebration to new heights by orchestrating a breathtaking human formation. Students came together in a magnificent display of unity and creativity. Under the guidance of dedicated faculty members, the students formed intricate patterns on the college ground, by forming Happy Madras Day. This unique and artistic tribute showcased the college's commitment to celebrating the city's heritage. The programme was organised by the Rotaract Club of SACAS, Department of English, Computer Science & Applications. Mr. M. Vignesh Kumar, faculty coordinator of Rotaract Club of SACAS coordinated the formation. This innovative gesture highlighted the vibrant spirit of S. A. College of Arts & Science in honoring its beloved city on this special day.

The valedictory function for “VANNAMAYILAE” on 16.07.2023

Rotaract Club of SA College Of Arts And Science was proud to share that the Vannamayilae Project was successfully completed with 16 other Co host Clubs.The main aim of this project is raise fund by hitting a million view, each million views gives education to the underpriviledged students by paying their school's annual fees. Rtr.Pres.Akash K was the Chairman for this project. Vannamayilae Valedictory was conducted on 16th July 2023. The Event started by an enthusiastic emcee Rtr.PP.Iraianbu and Rtr.Nithin as DJ blasted the entire event with his vibes. Collaring of Presidents was done and short and sweet welcome address was given by the Project Chairman. Ak priyan and Akshaya Shivkumar were Chief guest of the day. Vannamayilae song was lively performed by them with the dancers from Sacas. Rtn.David Rosario President Elect 24-25 as Guest of Honor gave an inspirational speech to the Rotaractors. Rtr.Santhosh Praveen (ADRR) as Special Invitee attended our event. Every Clubs and Co-Chairpersons were recognized by the Guests. Vikki Media as Media Sponsor gave their tremendous support to the event. Special Recognition was done to the members those who gave their valuable support for the entire project. Atlast the Event was ended by the Conclusion speech given by the Chairman and vote of thanks given by Project Secretary.

“PEACE AND CONFLICT”

The programmee on “PEACE AND CONFLICT” was commenced on 28.02.2023 at zoom meet by 7.00 p.m organized by Rotary club of Ambattur & rotaract club of S.A.College of arts and science. The chief guest of the session ws Mrs. Fatima lodhi , Karachi-Pakistan,Founder of “Dark is Divine” , Social activist “Champion of Diversity” .The session was started by Rtn Sambasiva,President of RC Ambattur by giving welcome address about the ssession. Rtn Gita introduced Mrs Fatima Lodhi and handed over the session to her.She started the session by telling her life story . she faced so many bullies in her school days because of her skin tone. She then decided to join Rotaract and rotary. It was a major turning point in her life. All these made her bold and fearless. She taught herself how to find her own peace by doing whatever she liked. It’s called the act of finding inner peace and happiness. She taught herself how to find her own peace by doing whatever she liked. It’s called the act of finding inner peace and happiness. It is all about your behaviour towards others that defines peace. The more friendlier you behave, the more peaceful relationship becomes. Overall what she meant is , To let the people know, how to find peace by doing your best thing and also not to judge anyone by seeing their skin tone. Also briefs how to maintain the relationship with someone, which purely depends on one’s character and not the country. And the meeting was ended by the vote of thanks by Rtr varsha, Secretary of Rac of SA college of arts and science. Session was adjourned by president Rtr. Sambasiva , President of RC Ambattur.


hair donation camp

The Rotaract club of SA college of arts and science , sponsored by rotory club of Ambattur , co-hosted ETERNAL EIGHT 2.0 with Rac of blue whales along with other 10 rac clubs on 22nd feburary 2023 at AM Jain college , meenambakkam. The event was started by 10:00 am .Nearly 850 donors were donated their hair from 6 inch to full length  hair.The co-hosting clubs were

The main aim of the hair donation camp was to give awerness about chemotheraphy’s side effects faced by the cancer patient . we’re about to made wigs out of donated hair and give it with free of cost who cannot afford.


Blood donation camp “UTHIRAM”

The Rotract Club of S.A. College of Arts & Science Blood donation camp “UTHIRAM” , the blood donation camp was oraganised on 21.02.2023. The project chairman was Rtr.Sivakadacham.G and the camp was arranged in SACAS Auditorium .Rotary central TTK-VHS Blood bank supported us by sending a team of Doctors to regulate the blood camp. At 9.30 a.m the project chairman initiated the camp by cutting the ribbon. Many donors from various colleges volunteered the camp and weight, BP and Hemoglobin tests were taken and eligible donors were allowed to donate the blood.

 visited Uthiram camp and donated their blood.  All the donars were provided with refreshments and certificates at the end. The registrations were closed and finally the camp came to an end with 141 donars who volunteered and made the camp successful.
