SACAS Central Library celebrates National Librarian Day on 12.08.2024

Central Library is plan to conduct a special talk in celebration of National Librarian Day on August 12, 2024, which commemorates the birthday of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, the father of Library Science. The event is aimed at our students and will focus on the topic “The Importance of Promoting Good Reading Habits Among Students.”e are honored to have Mr. K. Venkataramani, Scientist-SF (Retd.) from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, Sriharikota, as our chief guest. Mr. Venkataramani has graciously confirmed his participation via email. The talk is scheduled to take place at the SACAS Auditorium on Monday, August 12, 2024.

The objective of this event is to emphasize the significance of cultivating good reading habits among students. Encouraging reading not only enhances students’ academic performance but also enriches their personal growth and development. Through this special talk, we aim to foster a culture of reading within our institution, unlocking numerous benefits for our students.
