SACAS Association of Accounting & Finance Professionals and SACAS’ians Fin-tech Club organizing awareness session on “The Ill Effects of Substance Abuse among Adolescents and Youth on 26.09.2024

The Department of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) at SACAS, in conjunction with the SACAS Association of Accounting & Finance Professionals and SACAS’ians Fin-tech Club, partnered with Madras School of Social Work to host an awareness session on “The Ill Effects of Substance Abuse among Adolescents and Youth.” Held at the SACAS Auditorium, the event featured guest speaker Mr. Vikal Shukla, Junior Intelligence Officer of the Narcotic Control Bureau, Chennai, who highlighted the various forms of drugs and alarming statistics of affected individuals. The session aimed to educate students on the risks and harmful effects of drug abuse, empowering them to make informed choices, and was attended by students from SACAS and Madras School of Social Work. Through this initiative, SACAS and Madras School of Social Work reaffirmed their commitment to fostering a healthy and aware student community, inspiring positive change and collective responsibility in addressing substance abuse.
