The Orientation Programme “Embrace” on 08.09.2023

The Orientation Programme “Embrace” on 08.09.2023 for I MBA Students of School of Management started with Knowledge Sharing session on Journey towards Managerial Excellence by GP Capt Dr. R. Venkataraman, General Manager, MMA. The session started at 9.30a.m. at SACAS Theatre. Dr.Viji.R, Director, School of Management welcomed the gathering. The guest GP Dr.R. Vekataraman narrated real life stories of successful people. Sir, insisted the need to identify strength and fix goals and work hard towards achieving them. GPDr.Venkatraman also explained the need to look beyond the books. The guest concluded the session by quoting that “success or excuse, the choice is yours”. The session was very interactive.

The Orientation Programme Embrace’23 on 08/09/23 for I MBA Students of School of Management started with Knowledge Sharing in Human Resource Domain. The session started at 11.30a.m. at SACAS theatre. Dr. Viji. R, Director, School of Management welcomed the gathering. The guest Mr. David Netto explained the importance of self-motivation in life. Mr.David also insisted on developing skills . He emphasized the need for social networking and said that all of them should have an account in Linkedin. The session was interactive and the students clarified their qurries.

 


Celebrate Literacy Day on 08.09.2023

On 8th September 2023, students from Department of B.Com CA participated in an event to celebrate Literacy Day. As part of this event, a group of students, accompanied by teachers, stood on the road near our campus, holding placards with literary quotes, and messages promoting the importance of literature.

The event began at 8:00 a.m. and lasted until 9.00 a.m. The students were divided into several groups, each stationed at strategic points on the road to maximize visibility and engagement with the passing pedestrians and motorists. They displayed creativity and enthusiasm throughout the event, attracting the attention and interest of the general public.

The participants had prepared their own placards, showcasing their knowledge and appreciation for literature. Some placards also highlighted the benefits of reading and literary activities, such as enhancing language skills, broadening knowledge, and fostering creativity.

The students interacted warmly with passersby, engaging in conversations about literature, answering questions, and providing recommendations.
Throughout the event, the students conducted themselves with utmost discipline and responsibility. They adhered to traffic rules, ensuring their presence on the road did not cause any inconvenience or disruption to vehicle flow. Additionally, they maintained a respectful and positive attitude, representing our institution and the spirit of Literacy Day admirably.

The event concluded at 9:00 a.m. with a brief gathering where the participating students shared their experiences and expressed their gratitude to the teachers and organizers for providing them with this platform to celebrate literature.

The event served as a reminder of the importance of literature in our lives and the efforts our institution takes to nurture a love for reading and writing among students.

The first session of the orientation programme “Embrace” on 7/09/23 for I MBA Students of the School of Management started with Knowledge Sharing in HR Domain by Mrs.Archana Rajamanickam, Manager, HR Business Process e-Com Systems India Pvt. Ltd.  The session started at 9.30a.m. at SACAS theatre. Dr.Viji.R, Director, School of Management welcomed the gathering. The guest Mrs. Archana addressed on the need to grab opportunities, understand one’s passion, set goals and said that money will follow Passion. Mrs.Archana narrated examples from her own life and experiences on how a person from an Engineering background has become a successful HR professional.

The second session of the orientation programme “Embrace” on 7/09/23 for I MBA Students of School of Management started with Knowledge Sharing in FINANCE Domain by Mr.Glenn Roger Carr,Co-Founder & Director,Finmark Trainers India Pvt. Ltd. The session started at 11.45a.m. at SACAS theatre. Dr.Viji.R, Director, School of Management welcomed the gathering. The guest Glenn Roger Carr came with the live stock market presentation and how it works. He explained the importance of investing in capital market from the engage with the live examples. He gave ideas to the young students on how to invest in the stock market and how it will bring profit in the future. He shared three important C’s a) Improve your communication b)Be confident c)Continuity. Then he answered and cleared all the doubts and questions asked by the students.


Industrial Visit – Aavin Dairy at Madhavaram on 5.09.2023

National Nutrition Week (NNW) is an annual event that aims to promote healthy eating habits and educate individuals about the importance of nutrition in their daily lives. As part of this initiative, II B.com CA participated in a one-day visit to the Madhavaram AAvin dairy industry on September 5th, 2023. The theme for the visit was to discover the power of innovation through an industrial visit.

Arriving at Madhavaram AAvin, we were greeted by the sight of modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art machinery. It was evident that innovation played a significant role in ensuring the efficiency and productivity of the dairy industry. The visit began with a brief introduction to the history of AAvin and its commitment to providing nutritious dairy products to the consumers.

During the visit, we got a chance to witness the various processes involved in the production of dairy products. From the milking of cows to the packaging of the final products, every step was meticulously executed to maintain the quality and freshness of the dairy items. The staff provided valuable insights into the techniques they employed to maximize the nutritional value of the products.

One of the highlights of the visit was the observation of the quality control procedures. We, learned about the rigorous testing methods employed to ensure that every batch of dairy products adhered to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
Moreover, the Madhavaram AAvin dairy industry showcased its commitment to innovation by implementing sustainable practices. They emphasized the utilization of renewable energy sources, such as solar panels, to reduce their carbon footprint and conserve natural resources. This initiative truly reflected the power of innovation in creating a sustainable and eco-friendly future.

In conclusion, the one-day visit to Madhavaram AAvin dairy industry during National Nutrition Week was an eye-opening and enriching experience.This visit served as a reminder of the importance of maintaining a nutritious diet and the significant role that the dairy industry plays in supporting our health and well-being.


SACAS- Teachers day celebration on 05.09.2023

“Great teachers make ordinary students extraordinary.” College of Arts & Science celebrated the Teachers Day on 05-09-2023 in the Preview Theatre at 12:00 p.m. The programme was coordinated by the Rotaract Club of SACAS. Mr. Vignesh and Mr. Arjun the Rotaract Faculty Coordinators organized the event. The Director and the Principal presided over the celebration. Students organised games and cultural performances for the faculty members as tokens of love.


National Nutrition Week – Day 4

National Nutrition Week is being celebrated by the department of HS-NFSMD. On day 4, cooking competition entitled "Ready, Set,Cook" based on millets was conducted on 5.9.23.Students enthusiastically participated and showed their love for making healthy dishes out of millets.  Students came out with different dishes such as Kodo Millet Payasam, Barnyard Vegetable Cutlet, Paneer Foxtail Millet Dosa, Stuffed Ragi Dosa & Ragi Adai. Mr.S. Susidharan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce (A&F) judged the recipes.

The School of Management has organised inauguration of MBA batch 2023-2025 on 04/09/2023 between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. at SACAS Theatre by Mr. S. Rajarajan, COO, MGM Healthcare Services. The Honourable Correspondent of the college Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja, Director Dr. V. Sayi Sathyavathi, Principal Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar, and our Knowledge Partner Mr. S. Jayaraam, Dy. General Manager, Market Development, Business Standard Pvt. Ltd. graced the occasion.
The programme started with lighting of lamp by the dignitaries. Dr. Viji.R, Director, School of Management delivered the welcome address, presidential address was delivered by Correspondent Mr. P. Venkatesh Raja. The special addresses were delivered by Dr. V. Sayi Satyavathi, Principal Dr. Malathi Selvakkumar, and Mr. S. Jayaraam, Dy. General Manager, Market Development, Business Standard Pvt. Ltd.
The Chief Guest, Mr. S. Rajarajan highlighted on the expectations of the industry and how the pedagogy, campus exposure and upskilling will help the students achieve SMART goals. He also insisted on the need for sustainability, ethics, localizing, crisis management skills and resilience which are important in the present day.


Educational visit-Aavin dairy industry at Ambattur

Students of  the Department of Home Science NFSM&D visited the Aavin dairy industry, Ambattur on 4th September 2023 as part of the National Nutrition Week. It was indeed an educational visit where the students gained immense knowledge about one of the  leading South Indian dairy plant.Our students were privileged to witness the different units like the production area, control room, cold room and the packaging area. The visit was a thought provoking experience to know  the team work behind the supply of safe dairy products on a day-to-day basis.
