Department of Psychology at S.A. College of Arts and Science celebrates Awareness Program on International Day of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

Psychology department at S.A. College of Arts & Science hosted a potent public education program on June 26, 2024  in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

The Mime program kicked off with a vibrant march at the college lobby, accompanied by placards with educational messages and students actively advocating against drug abuse. Students display fact sheets that explore the negative impact on relationships, academic success, and physical and mental health. The main attraction was the mime program, which used bodily representations to contrast the strength gained from abstaining from drugs with the difficulties of addiction.

A helpful booklet containing positive preventive strategies, hotline numbers, and advice on saying no to drugs was distributed to students. This impressive presentation will leave an impression.
