Department of Home Science – Nutrition, Food Service Management and Dietetics and F3 Nutrition Club in association with Nutrition Society of India, organised Guest Lecture on Mindful Eating for a Healthy Lifestyle on 3.9.24 at SACAS Auditorium between 1 to 3 pm.

Our speaker Dr. Gowri Ramesh, Associate Professor, Department of Home Science, Women’s Christian College, Convenor – NSI Chennai Chapter, delivered an insightful guest lecture emphasizing the importance of soulful eating . She explained how mindful eating involves paying attention to hunger and fullness cues, eating slowly, and savoring each bite. Dr. Gowri Ramesh highlighted the numerous benefits of this practice, including better digestion, improved nutrient absorption, weight management, and reduced stress. She encouraged the audience to develop a healthier relationship with food, emphasizing that how we eat is as important as what we eat for overall well-being. The lecture was well-received and highly informative.
