Department of English at S A College of Arts & Science hosted a remarkable theater workshop titled “The Spotlight – From Script to Stage,” which took place from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM in the SACAS Auditorium. This enriching event was led by Dr. David Wesley Wesley, Assistant Professor at Madras Christian College, Chennai, whose extensive knowledge and passion for theatre captivated participants from the outset.
Designed to enhance understanding of the theatrical process and cultivate self-confidence in public speaking, the workshop attracted a diverse group of students from various disciplines and faculty members, fostering a dynamic and collaborative learning environment. The programme commenced with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, which beautifully set a respectful and uplifting tone for the day, while the workshop concluded with the National Anthem, leaving participants with a profound sense of unity and pride in their cultural heritage.
